Mr. Jianguo Liu is the Chief Executive Officer of Portland Cement, bringing over 18 years of experience in various leadership roles across multiple countries. He has served as Overseas Development Director and Strategy Planning Specialist, where he honed his expertise in driving business growth and executing strategic initiatives. With a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Marketing from Wuhan University of Technology, Mr. Liu has a strong academic foundation. He is also a graduate of Holcim University/IMD Leadership Development Programme and Holcim University/Duke Corporate Education Management Seminar, further enhancing his leadership capabilities. As CEO, Mr. Liu is responsible for steering Portland Cement’s operations, focusing on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and innovation. His global experience and strategic insights play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s vision and ensuring its competitive edge in the cement industry
Constance Musopole
Constance is a seasoned finance professional and executive leader with over 20 years of experience in the cement industry, much of it at the senior leadership level across Zambia and Malawi. She is a highly driven, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of directing key initiatives, including planning, formulating, and implementing solutions that align with business objectives and strategy. Beyond her role as CFO, Constance has also led Human Resources, Supply Chain – Logistics, and Procurement functions, as well as managed large-scale capital projects. She oversees Company Secretarial duties and is a key driver of organizational strategy. Constance holds an MBA in Leadership and Sustainability from the University of Cumbria, UK, and a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Malawi (now MUBAS), the Polytechnic. She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCCA) with memberships in ACCA and ICAM, exemplifying her dedication to financial excellence and leadership.
Biziwick Mwale
Bizwick, the Head of Sales and Logistics at Portland Cement, holds a Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Greenwich and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Financial Economics from the University of Worcester. With over 7 years of experience in sales, business management, and strategic roles, Bizwick is instrumental in driving both the sales strategy and managing the logistics operations at Portland Cement. He oversees the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring efficient distribution and delivery of products. Additionally, Bizwick plays a key role in the formulation and implementation of company strategies, ensuring growth and operational efficiency through his leadership and business acumen.
Jacob Chombo
Jacob is the Plant Manager at Portland Cement Ltd, overseeing operations across two plants. He manages key areas such as raw material sourcing, production, maintenance, product quality assurance, dispatch, and company stores. With over 18 years of technical and leadership experience in the cement, sugar, and beverage industries, Jacob has expertise in process engineering, quality management, and plant operations. He holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Applied Chemical Engineering from Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK. Jacob is a Certified Green Belt in Operational Excellence and an ISO 9001:2015 auditor, and he is a Senior Associate Member of the UK-based Institute of Chemical Engineers (AMIChemE)
Mark Chilambe
Mark is the Business Development Manager at Portland Cement Malawi Limited, driving the company’s growth strategy. With over 20 years of experience in cement manufacturing and sales, he has developed a well-rounded expertise across both the manufacturing and commercial sectors in Malawi and Tanzania. Passionate about innovation, Mark has played a key role in the research and development of sustainable, environmentally friendly cement products. He holds an MBA from the Eastern & Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Malawi. Mark is a strong advocate and implementer of innovative, sustainable cement manufacturing practices that prioritize future generations.
Violet Vilili
Violet is the Head of Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and Administration at Portland Cement, where she oversees customer engagement, communications, and stakeholder management. With over 15 years of experience leading marketing teams across industries such as BP Oil Company, Malswitch, FDH Financial Holdings, and FINCA Microfinance, she has a strong track record in marketing communications, brand development, and strategy execution. Violet holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from the University of Derby and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Malawi. As a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM), she is dedicated to building strong relationships that drive collaboration and enhance business performance, all while upholding values of integrity, excellence, and sustainable impact.
Darius Mayuni
Darius P.K. Mayuni is the Procurement Manager at Portland Cement, bringing over 20 years of experience as a seasoned Supply Chain Specialist with a focus on procurement. Before joining Portland Cement, he worked with private companies and NGOs, developing a deep commitment to attention to detail, workplace safety, and strict adherence to procurement guidelines. Darius is passionate about ensuring value for money in all procurement activities and is known for his integrity and trustworthiness. His ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, combined with his belief in teamwork and openness to different perspectives, makes him adaptable to various environments. Darius holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the EU and is backed by professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS-UK). He is also a member of both the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS) and CIPS-UK.
Sinthani Masache
Sinthani is a dedicated and highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leader with over 7 years of experience, specializing in the development and implementation of Zero Harm strategies.
